John and I were in Infantry AIT together at
Screaming Eagle
Posted on 5/8/10 - by Bill Ellis
Fort Dix in the Fall of 1968. We next ran into each other at Long Bien for Screaming Eagles Replacement Training School (SERTS). We were both in D 1/502 101 Abn Div at LZ Sally. John Hale was one of bravest soldiers I ever knew. I believe he was killed on his third day in the field in the Ashau. I think of him often after all these years. Rest well Screaming Eagle.
